THE INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE® (IB)
What is IB?
The International Baccalaureate is a nonprofit educational organization present in 150 countries around the world that brings together 5000 schools. The IB is known for offering challenging high academic rigor programs that also take into consideration the student’s social and personal development.
Lincoln International Academy is currently in the request for candidacy to become an IB World School phase.We are preparing and implementing the international curriculum offered by the IB taking into special consideration not to leave the national learning objectives (MINEDUC) aside, so once our request has been approved, we can offer the Diploma Program in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade.
IB Benefits
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme provides several benefits to our students and community. This educational programme motivates students to become active agents in their learning process, to develop critical thinking and to solve complex local and global problems, which results in a strong academic, social, and emotional development.
The IB also provides another access route to both national and international universities.

The International Baccalaureate® aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
La visión del IB en el área de Lenguaje promueve una apertura global en cuanto a la interpretación literaria. Por medio del taller, tuvimos la oportunidad de compartir ideas y prácticas con profesores de diversos contextos a nivel nacional e internacional, ampliando aún más estas perspectivas.
