With great pride we congratulate our 9th Grade A student of Chicureo campus, Miguel Tomé, who was crowned National Taekwondo champion in the three categories he competed in the ATA (American Taekwondo Association) tournament.  After this important triumph, Miguel qualified to the Pan American of this discipline to be held in Lima from October 4th to October 8th in which, in case of obtaining good results, he may qualify for the ATA World Cup 2018 hosted by the United States. We wish him good luck in this next challenge. Congratulations Miguel for this important achievement that is due to your effort and perseverance!

On this occasion as well we would like to distinguish our student Miguel Pantaleoni, from 4th Grade B of Lo Barnechea campus, who came out as runner up in his category at the ITF Taekwondo championship held in Lima, obtaining the silver medal. With this result Miguel is automatically nominated to be part of the squad that will represent Chine in the 2018 American Championship to take place in São Paulo. Many congratulations Miguel! We are also very proud to congratulate our 1st grade student of Chicureo campus, Martina Morris for her great performance at the Artistic Gymnastics Championship Copa la Serena 2017, held at the Monumental Coliseum in La Serena from August 24th to the 27th. Here she obtained the silver medal in Beam and All-around of the Level 2 category. With this important achievement Martina won 1st place with her team in this category. It should be noted that this championship is one of the most important in Chile due to the high number of athletes participating across the country. Congratulations Martina and family!

We distinguish our student Maximiliano Macaya from 9th B, Chicureo, who as member of the Under 16 rugby squad of Club Deportivo Universidad Católica was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the match in which his team defeated Franciacorta in Opsitaletto, Italia, during the Euro Gira. We remind you that this tour took place between September 5th and September 18th, consisting of 5 matches between schools and clubs of Italy and France. Maximiliano has stood out once again due to his great sportsmanship, skills and passion that has been reflected upon this distinction. Congratulations, keep it up!

Last but not least, we congratulate our Social Studies teacher of Lo Barnechea, Miss Paula Labrín, for finishing 3rd place in the Golden Run Asics 21K in her category. On this occasion she managed to lower her personal mark to 1:30:18, achieving the 8th overall position among all female competitors. Congratulations Miss Paula!
