In 2024, Lincoln International Academy became an International Baccalaureate® (IB) School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to a high quality, challenging, and international education. Now we offer the Diploma Programme in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade.

The International Baccalaureate is a nonprofit educational organization present in 150 countries around the world that brings together 5000 schools. The IB is known for offering challenging high academic rigor programs that also take into consideration the student’s social and personal development.

Established in 1968, the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) was the first programme offered by the IB. This educational programme motivates students to become active agents in their learning process, to develop critical thinking and to solve complex local and global problems, which results in a strong academic, social, and emotional development. The IB also provides another access route to both national and international universities.

In addition, the programme is complementary to the traditional national curriculum, enhancing and deepening the knowledge required by the Chilean Ministry of Education.

Finally, we have already begun the application to teach the IB Middle Years Programme, better known as MYP, which covers students from 11 to 16 years of age.
